We offer Occupational Therapy and Mental Health services for children, adolescents, and their families. Appointments are available in our welcoming clinic rooms in Mooroolbark, or via Telehealth.

Need a little extra support settling into the year?
We offer one-off and short term OT consultations focused on the foundations of emotional regulation, interoception, and sensory needs. These sessions are ideal for families wanting practical strategies over long term therapy.

We provide mental health services for young people experiencing:

• Anxiety
   
• Depression
   
• Emotional distress
   
• Difficulty managing big feelings or coping with stress
   

Our approach supports children and teens in understanding their emotions and building the skills to feel more confident and in control.

Carmen is registered to provide services under the Better Access to Mental Health (BAMH) scheme.
Ask your GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician about whether you or your child is eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan, which may allow you to claim a Medicare rebate. Some individuals may also be able to claim OT services via their private health fund.

Our Occupational Therapy services help young people build the skills they need to better manage their emotions, sensory experiences, and everyday routines. We focus on:

• Emotional regulation and resilience
   
• Sensory processing and sensory-based strategies
   
• Daily routines, independence, and transitions

• Strengths based, child focused support

• Education and skill development for parents to support the translation of skills from the therapy room to home.
   

Funding options when accessing OT services at Built Like Me are available for:

• Private-pay
   
• Partial medicare rebate for children with a Chronic Condition Management Plan from their GP.

• Partial Medicare rebate for Children with a Better Access to Mental Health care plan from their GP.
   
• Children with a self-managed NDIS plan with funding for Therapies in their  Capacity Building budget.

• Private Health Insurance rebate may be claimable for those with Occupational Therapy under Extra's cover.
