APPOINTMENT OFFER
I am happy to let you know I am able to offer you and your child an initial appointment.
Initial appointments are made via the below booking link. During your initial appointment we will discuss your ongoing therapy needs and how best to book these in.
As Built Like Me is a small solo practice with no admin support, as such I request that communications including changes to appointments occur via the link in your booking confirmation or via e-mail.
The Built Like Me phone is not monitored during clinic hours to ensure children with appointment sessions have my full attention. However e-mails are monitored throughout the day.
All initial appointments occur at the clinic rooms in Mooroolbark. Please note the rooms are upstairs and we do not have a lift.
Ongoing appointments also occur in the clinic rooms. Occasional school visits are offered as needed, however regular school and home therapy appointments are not generally available.
Clinic appointments occur on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 9:30- 3pm and Fridays from 9:30-11:30.
On occasion additional clinic days are opened when capacity allows.
FEES:
Appointments fees are $262.50 per session. This includes 45minutes of face to face time and a period of non face to face time. (50min for clients using a Better Access to Mental Health Care Plan.)
Non face to face time includes: Session planning, set up, pack up, note writing and regular file reviews. It also includes reading and responding to brief e-mails from parents, schools and other treating professionals.
Longer and more complex communication including team meetings and report writing is charged at $105 per 30 minute block.
Travel time for school visits or other outreach appointments is charged at $210 per hour in 15 blocks.
Cancellation Fees: Built Like Me has a strict 48hour cancellation policy. Any appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will be charged the full session fee. All appointments have an inbuilt Telehealth link and appointments can be moved to Telehealth at anytime.
Rebates: Some clients are able to claim a partial rebate via a referral from their GP under Batter Access to Mental Health Care Plan (BAMHS) or Chronic Condition Management Plan (CCMP), others may be able to use private health insurances which does not require a referral.
NDIS: Built Like Me provide services to self managed NDIS clients.
Unfortunately due to the current price freeze Built Like Me can no longer provide services to plan managed families. Significant increases in business costs associated with providing therapy services have made services under the current price caps financially unviable for the practice.
Telehealth:
Appointments can be moved to Telehealth at anytime.
Telehealth links can also allow a second parent or carer to participate in a face to face appointment remotely if desired.
In the case of minor illness, car break downs or other unexpected issues attending appointments I strongly encourage you to e-mail and request a move to Telehealth or a phone appointment.
After booking your initial appointment you will be sent a link to complete an intake form and a fees consent form. Please complete these prior to your first appointment.

To maximise your first appointment please provide as much information as possible. I encourage parents to write down and send any key points, concerns, goals and questions they have prior to the appointment.

Pre payments: Payment is required at the time of booking. Appointments cancelled outside of the 48 hour cancellation period will be rescheduled or refunded.
